Baylor University's Office of Innovation & Economic Development supports institution-wide efforts to increase the quality and quantity of activity and outcomes around innovation, startups, and job creation with an emphasis on enhancing Waco's technology economic and innovation development ecosystem.
- Innovation Den
The Innovation Den, residing within the Office of Innovation & Economic Development, is based the BRIC and houses programs, resources, and initiatives to support innovators and entrepreneurs across the campus and community. - Innovation Garage
The Innovation Garage, a collaborative workspace jointly operated by Baylor’s Libraries and Office of Innovation and Economic Development, houses an extension of the Moody Makerspace where innovators and entrepreneurs from across campus can book dedicated project time to design, build, and iterate on product concepts ranging from fashion to consumer and beyond. - Mentorship
Join our dynamic mentoring program and connect with innovative and passionate students eager to transform their entrepreneurial ideas into reality. Share your expertise and insights, guiding students as they evaluate their business models and concepts. Your guidance will empower them to navigate the entrepreneurial landscape and achieve their goals. - Startup Spaces: Cubicles & Coworking
Baylor’s Office of Innovation and Economic Development has cubicle and co-working spaces available for rent and for program participants at the BRIC. - Startup Programs
InnovateBU is a Baylor University initiative to support faculty, staff, and students in their efforts to start, build, and grow new ventures. InnovateBU collaborates with campus and community partners to host programs, train entrepreneurs, and resource innovators as they launch and spin out startups. - Startup Tree
StartupTree is the leading all-in-one platform to manage and scale entrepreneurship communities, opportunities, and innovation. Baylor University uses StartupTree as a digital support system to house resources, mentorship, startup information, and events. - Online Resources
The digital resource page provides a wide range of resources to support innovators and entrepreneurs at every stage, from developing a concept to obtaining funding and managing legal complexities. - Wet Labs
Baylor University offers biotech and pharma startups wet lab space to support early-stage research and commercialization. These labs are available for rent for innovators who desire to connect and collaborate with Baylor. Currently, six wet labs, three with hoods, are complete with additional shared lab space and tools available.
