As Vision Grows, Area Economic Development Interests Join Project

Reflecting increasing confidence in the research park model as a "sure-fire" means of sparking regional economic growth, planners widen the project concept into the Central Texas Technology and Research Park (CTTRP), of which the BRIC will become the inaugural and "flagship" occupant. A diverse array of regional development groups – The Cooper Foundation, Bellmead Development Corporation, Texas State Technical College Waco, McLennan County Economic Development Corporation, and Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce become partners in the project.
